This Privacy Policy explains how SavvyPenny ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the SavvyPenny mobile application, our Telegram bot, and related services (together, the "Service").

• Email address and password (your password is stored in encrypted form and is never visible to us).
• Display name, if you choose to provide one.

Financial information you enter

• Expenses, income, and notes that you log by typing or by voice message.
• Budget settings, such as your monthly income, daily spending cap, and savings goals.
• Shared expense plans, including the names you enter for other participants and the amounts involved.

SavvyPenny does not connect to your bank. We only store the information you choose to enter.

Voice data

• If you use voice input, your recording (up to 30 seconds) is processed to transcribe it into text.
• Recordings are used only to create the transcription and generate a reply. We do not use your voice recordings to identify you.

Technical information

• Basic device and usage data, such as device type, operating system, app version, language setting, and crash logs, used to keep the Service working properly.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core features of the Service: logging transactions, calculating budgets, generating reports, and computing shared-expense settlements.
• To transcribe voice messages and generate responses.
• To create and secure your account and sync your data across the mobile app and the Telegram bot.
• To fix bugs, improve performance, and develop the Service.
• To communicate with you about important changes to the Service or this policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your financial data for advertising.

3. How Your Data Is Processed

• Messages you send are processed automatically to detect amounts, categories, and dates.
• Voice messages are transcribed using speech-to-text processing (English and Arabic are supported).
• Processing may be performed by trusted third-party service providers acting on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting and speech-to-text providers). These providers may only use your data to provide services to us.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored securely on a per-user basis; other users cannot access your transactions.
• Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
• We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

5. Data Retention

• We keep your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active.
• You can edit or delete individual transactions at any time inside the app.
• If you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep it by law.

SavvyPenny is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
